  ‘Slavers’

A group of young people are forced to re-enact the slave trade in a parallel world in the present called ‘Slaveworld’. Who become traders & who become slaves?

 The playscript was developed through workshops with students at Archbishop Sentamu Academy in Hull prior to being performed by Hull Truck’s Youth Theatre members. The production in an abridged form became the first play ever to be performed in the House of Commons in October 2007, as part of the Wilberforce Bi-Centennial Events
