2008-11– Initiated, monitored & evaluated over 20 arts projects in Hull schools as an Agent with Creative Partnerships, including Gillshill, Griffin, Highlands, Foredyke & St Richards Primary Schools, Endeavour High, Archbishop Sentamu & Sirius Academies, & Hull College Childhood Studies Department

2006– BBC LearnXpress- Lead trainer on ‘Media in Education’ – 3 day staff development  for N.Lincs LEA Learning Advisors & teachers.

2004-Established & ran Open College Network accredited Digital Storytelling course in partnership with Hull College, training local teachers and Adult Education staff.

COMMUNITY ARTS TRAINER

 2000– Consultant on the Shildon Community Play –Consultancy & mentoring of large-cast community play, including project planning & delivery, community recruitment, local history research & script development. In partnership with Sedgefield Borough Council Arts Unit & Monster Productions.

1998– Workshop leader on ‘Writing Community Plays’ for the National Community Play Conference at Bridlington, E.Yorks.

1998– Utrecht, Holland- Workshop leader for international conference on ‘Theatre in Neighbourhoods’ organised by Stut Theatre Company.

PROFESSIONAL WRITER DEVELOPMENT

2005-6- Script Yorkshire Outreach & Development Officer. Year part-time ACE funded post to develop writer training inYorkshire.

• Co-ordinated and promoted a 6 month writers workshop programme inHulland the E.Yorks for tv, radio, theatre & film (36 workshops in total)
• Shaped & developed long-term strategy for Script Yorkshire.
• Developed new partnerships with & secured funding from local authorities including further development funding for the organisation from Ace Yorkshire.

2002– Joint Co-ordinator & Programmer for Hull Literature Festival. Programming guest speakers, readings & workshop events for the annual ‘Humber Mouth’ festival. Also organised Writers Guild events at the 2001 Festival featuring writers David Nobbs, Jimmy McGovern (in association with Bafta North), and a ‘Writing for Soaps’ event.

2009-2012– Treasurer of the Writers Guild of Great Britain

2000-’02 & 2006-’09– Deputy Chair of the Writers Guild of Great Britain
